The tattoo that I drew up was modified to what he was capable of. Mine was smaller w/ more details and more delicate. I had it done anyway, being that I had an appointment and wanted other tattoos done in the future. While doing my tattoo he says he is pressed for time because he has to find a trailer so he can deliver a vehicle to Grand Island. Do I know where he can get a trailer, no, but I happen to have one. No idea why I try to help people, I guess I would like them to do the same if it was the other way around. Also, I wanted more tattoos, so, we made a deal. So when the opportunity arose, which was many years later, I learned who Smokin Joe really is. I caught up with him in Sturgis and hoped I could get some work done. Man, was I dreaming! He gets shitty right away. Says he would never make a deal like that, that he never took any vehicle anywhere that he borrowed a trailer for. I saved him 4 to 5 hundred bucks. Says he remembers nothing of this. He left me standing there and walked off saying I am crazy. He knew what this was about, but couldn’t find it in himself to do some work that he wouldn’t get paid for. Most people would have been happy to return a favor, but not this guy. Who wants a selfish, ungrateful, asshole like him doing their ink. Be careful who you try to help. I guess you can’t trust anyone anymore. Especially not Smokin Joe.
